At just 14 years old, he didn’t realize at the time this was the only beginning of his culinary career. Flash forward, he proudly boasts over 25 years of experience while embarking on his latest adventure with Fifth Group Restaurants. Before joining Fifth Group, Snody planted deep roots in North Carolina, while developing his skills across various concepts and cuisines in Winston-Salem and Raleigh. For over a decade, he held numerous leadership positions working for Chapel Hill Restaurant Group, and today, finds himself guiding the way for his South City Kitchen team and teaching them how to strengthen their techniques. Snody’s style of cooking is creative, modern and inspired by his years of plating up Asian and Hispanic cuisine alongside his traditional Southern roots. He loves to serve his own spin on signature dishes such as his blueberry beet cake, mahi en croute, churro ice cream sandwiches and smoked brisket with ancho demi — just to name a few.
